MCon Report for 09/30/2025

MCon Report of the week of 09/30/2025
Podcast backend is setup. Did a dry run and things are ready to load September this week. The backend will handle syndication (a huge deal for us, that will save me about 6 hours each week and 100$/month in fees.)
I doubt anyone outside of MCON will use the backend at all but if you're curious, documentation can be found here: https://docs.castopod.org/main/en/ and we'll add a walkthrough of our own setup to the HC Wiki shortly.
Smart dashboards are installed but need to be configured for each user. I'll meet with you all this week or send you an email about logging into your personal dash and how to customize it. This paragraph won't make any sense to you right now but in a day or two you'll be like "OHHH that's what he meant" and think it's really cool.

Thought of the week:
In the 1930s famous author T.S. Eliot wrote a cutesy little collection of poems for his godchildren about some kittens playing together.
40 years later Andrew Lloyd Webber found one of the poems TS Eliot threw away and turned it into an over-the-top musical about a bunch of cats that have a dance battle to decide who has the right to ride a UFO to cat heaven.
CATS! on Broadway made 2 billion dollars.
You don't have to have a good idea.
Execute the idea that you have so well that nobody can tell it's bad.
